Close to the UNESCO world heritage sight of Stonehenge, this stunning property is more than an average B & B. As you enter the gates of the grounds, you step back in time into a 36-acre estate that is steeped in history.
Everleigh Manor was once the summer palace of a Saxon king. It has also been the home of the mighty Plantagenets and was then owned by Queen Elizabeth 1, where her chief falconer lived in the 16th century. Mary Queen of Scots and James I both visited and many lords and ladies have graced its corridors over the centuries. During WW2 it was requisitioned as a hospital and went on over the next three decades to have strong military connections.
The property has now been extensively renovated to offer high quality bed and breakfast accommodation in a tranquil and picturesque setting – with rooms enjoying fantastic views across the grounds.
The West Wing at Everleigh Manor is situated in the beautiful village of Everleigh – offering peace and quiet, rolling countrysides and easy access to miles of woodland and pathways on Salisbury Plain and in Collingbourne Woods and Savernake Forest.
